There are a lot of different types of turf around and only some of them are controversial. Actually, only one of them is controversial the rest are more accepted types of turf. The one that some people seem to have really strong opinions about is artificial grass turf.
It doesn’t seem to matter how you phrase the argument, those who are against artificial turf refuse to be swayed. They don’t like the look, the feel or the idea that artificial grass may be a reasonable replacement for real grass.
In reality the argument is pointless because artificial turf has a valid place in society and it is proving successful in its replacement of a surface that shifts and is uneven and more difficult to play on. It also means that fewer matches are going to be affected due to the state of the pitch rather than on the merits of the teams competing.
