Massage has many different benefits for your overall physical and mental health. One of the easiest ways you can use massage in your own home is by giving your partner a neck massage. Many of us hold a lot of tension in our necks and many things, including excessive computer use, improper sleeping, and bad lifting technique can cause anyone’s neck to get extremely sore quickly. A neck massage is a sure way to loosen up the muscles and get rid of some of the pain. The best technique for giving one is to start at the base of the neck and rub upwards with the palm of your hands to the skull. Don’t use too much pressure, but you should feel the muscle stretch. If you feel knots, try to either stretch them out in one direction or rub them away by using small circular motions. It’s that easy!
