Maintaining Your Vending Route

Quite a few people have asked me how many machines they will need in order to have a steady income and how much time do I devote to maintaining the route. On average you will find that many locations only require to be checked every 60 days; while a few areas could be left for 90, it makes me uncomfortable to leave them alone for this long. When you first start servicing a new location, you might want to check every 30 days so that people will know that it is being checked, but after awhile I start extending the service period. You will find that nuts, gumballs and various candies will be fresh for 90 days. If you plan your vending route well, you can clean, restock, and collect money and drive to four different locations in an hour. It will take a bit more time if your machine requires more intense maintenance like changing the candy entirely or fixing a broken vending machine.
