Kleer Wireless

I found out about Kleer wireless technology the other day when I was shopping for new earbuds. I was surprised to learn all that I did, as I had never heard of Kleer before, and thought I would write this to let others know too.

Kleer was designed to be an improvement on Bluetooth, and was especially focused on improving the quality of music transmission. Bluetooth was co-opted for music listening but has a lot of issues with trying to transmit the complexity of sounds that are contained in a musical performance.

So Kleer sought to fix some problems and they have succeeded. It stomps all over Bluetooth. I listened to some earbuds at the store and they sounded great. The only problem I found was the price. Hundreds of dollars, even though there are a few different companies that use Kleer. For now I am not ready to shell out that kind of money for some earphones. Maybe I will in a few years or, even better, maybe Kleer earbuds will come down in price sometime soon.
