Other athlete like gymnast and divers use a specialized type of flat form which aids them in jumping high, this equipment has spring like mechanism here in when you apply a force like for example your own weight the boards spring will compress and then springs back to its original position which launches the athlete to the air. Learning how to jump higher is difficult but their are experts in vertical jump training that can help you.
