During the Auto Expo that was held in early 2010 in New Delhi, the people were held for a surprise when Maruti Suzuki unveiled their 7 seater cars, the Maruti Suzuki Eeco and the Maruti Suzuki Charge. Not many car makers in India have dared to make a car that were targetted towards the middle class segment. One such daring step was from Tata with the release of Tata Nano. And this time it was Maruti Suzuki.

In India, many people had a belief that the SUVs and the Multi Purpose Vehicles are meant mainly for the richer segment of the society. But the Maruti Suzuki might seem to have found a loop in it which they intend to fill with the help of Eeco 7 seater cars. A familiar car which has become widely popular is the Maruti Omni.

The Maruti Suzuki Eeco features a very decent performing engine. The car is capable of running an average of 15.1 km per liter of petrol. With the DSA (Diagonal Shift Assistance) technology used in the 5 speed manual gear system that is installed in the system; you will never hear the gear changing. You are bound to enjoy the sheer driving pleasure. The car has a 1199 cc petrol engine which manages to deliver 73 bhp at 6K rpm. You can expect a maximum torque of 101 Nm @ 3K rpm.

Maruti has made sure that you don’t feel deprived when you look at the interiors of the car. The seats are made very comfortable and sleek. One thing that catches your instant attention is the styled dashboard. All the meters on it are designed and styled to feel elegant; which they do. With the 7 seats in place, you still are left out with enough space to party and transport cargo. With the sliding doors, you don’t need extra space horizontally to unload.
