Auto Insurance Myth #10

by admin

in Auto Repair and Maintenance

The common, but falsified saying “no fault insurance means it’s not my fault” is quite a funny myth when it comes to auto insurance. Many states follow a no-fault rule which means that regardless of whose fault the automotive accident is, your own car insurance company will pay for the damages to your own vehicle. In no way does this mean that an accident cannot be your fault, so don’t think because you are in a no-fault state that you can’t be at fault for an accident or incident.

On the other hand, there are many states that don’t have this rule, and that is where this myth doesn’t even apply. The no-fault seems to not apply in states where the population is excessively high on a state-by-state basis for instance California, Texas, and New York. Statistics are only numbers. There could be no meaning to them other than the preference of the state government. Visit Auto Insurance in Chesapeake to get some more info on auto insurance.
