Protein Shake Recipe

Protein shake recipes are everywhere.  They range from the very healthy low fat versions to more of a milkshake calorie-dense treat.  But it gets really expensive if you are always buying premade versions or if you are stopping at a smoothie shop to get your fix.  Why not learn to make your favorite protein shake at home. It will save you lots of money.  Plus, it is really fun to experiment with different recipes and different types of protein powder to find one that suits your taste and nutrition requirements.  All you really need is a blender and an imagination.  One of my favorite versions is the following:

1 scoop of chocolate protein powder (any brand)

1 teaspoon of peanut butter or almond butter

1 teaspoon honey

1 teaspoon of cocoa powder

1 banana

1 cup of nonfat soymilk

4 ice cubes
