London Activities

With so many things to do in London it’s easy to get sucked into the city and never realize how much you’ve missed out on if you had just wandered a few miles outside of its limits. In fact, in most parts of the city you could probably be fairly happy not leaving the square mile you’re staying in for weeks at a time, especially if no one is asking you to leave the pub on account of your belligerence. But the fact remains, you’d be missing out. Ever hear of a little thing called Stonehenge? Less than 80 miles from the city center lies one of the most famous of all human mysteries. Ostensibly it’s just a stack of rocks but how did they get there and why did anyone bother? Better yet, only 13 miles from the city center is one of England’s most famous hedge mazes attached to…a palace! Hampton Court Palace to be exact. Who wouldn’t want to spend the day lost in a hedge maze?! Bottom line: Though that pub brew may be frosty and tasty, don’t be afraid to check out the outskirts.
