It’s Time for You to Be Making Money With Google

Alright – you’ve got an online business, and you’re looking to expand. You need more customers, because more customers mean more money. But you’re having difficulty finding people interested. Maybe you’ve got an obscure niche market. Or maybe your advertising is ineffective. Perhaps you’re advertising to the wrong audiences. Or maybe you’re not really doing a lot of advertising at all, and nobody knows about you.  It sounds like time you should be making money with Google.

Now, one of the first things you’ll probably want to try is Google Submit. And when I say “want to try,” I mean, “want to, but shouldn’t.” Google Submit lets you send your URL to Google, so they can automatically place your site in with their search result pages.  Simple and easy, right? Well, yes – and worth about what you paid for it: nothing.  Don’t waste your time and submit site to Google. It’s not going to get you anywhere.

Here’s why. If your site is worth beans (which it probably is,) then it’ll already be on the search engines.  The web crawlers follow links from other people’s websites in order to find yours, which means that if anybody out there thinks you’re worth linking to, you’re probably going to show up on Google pretty soon anyway. And once you’re on Google, you’re not going to get toward the top of those result lists until you’ve got some decent popularity, anyway. Bottom line: Google Submit isn’t going to increase your visibility any.

What will increase your visibility is Google AdWords. This program isn’t nearly as free-of-charge as Google Submit, unfortunately, but that’s primarily because Google knows it can only charge for programs that actually work. With AdWords, Google will do your advertising for you, matching your company to relevant search queries. You’ll only pay for the ads that work, and you’ll get more interest in your business. And it’ll happen a lot faster than Google Submit even claims to work.
