I’m guessing the answer is ‘maybe.’ While it’s a nice feature, installation is often a one-time process. Therefore, you’re not going to base your decision solely on that feature. But you have to admit that it’s a nice start. Plus, I’ll be honest. The HP 6500 Printer might be easy to install — the software walks you through it — but it still takes a long time. Okay, so we went from somewhat happy to somewhat sad, but that’s okay. There’s much more information to base your decision on.

If you want simplicity, then you will appreciate that the cartridges are easy to install. If you want speed, you will be happy to know that this model can print up to 31 pages per minute black and 30 pages per minute color. If convenience is what you’re looking for, you might want to know that the 6500 comes with a 250-sheet input tray, a 50-sheet output tray, a 35-sheet automatic document feeder, and two-sided printing. If you want to save money, then perhaps the 40% lower cost per page and usage of 40% less energy than a laser printer might interest you. And if you want to buy a model with a solid reputation and good customer feedback, then you should know that 96 of 169 consumers gave this 5 or 4-star ratings (5 being highest). It had a paper jam but there was nothing stuck in it. Anyway, this HP Officejet 6500 works great. The printing is much faster, set up was simple (I use a Mac) and we think the ink in HP printers lasts longer. So it’s a good buy and we’d highly recommend it to anyone.
