Liposuction for Men

Despite the typical stigma that plastic surgery is for women, liposuction for men is becoming an increasingly common occurrence. Usually it is more expensive for men than women for the same treatment because they tend to be larger than women in general. The size of the area to be treated obviously has a lot to do with how much the procedure will cost but so does the amount of work to remove the fat cells and the time involved. Biologically the fat cells in men are different from women in that it tends to be tougher. The fat is harder to break up and remove even with small procedures such as facial liposuction which is a common request by male patients. A majority of the men who go in for liposuction treatment request small areas of the body that are hard to burn off through exercise and dieting. These areas are usually on the face, neck, abdomen and the love-handles area. Liposuction is a great procedure for anyone looking to put the final sculpting touches to a body that is already in shape. Liposuction for men or women is not a solution for obesity or a weight loss strategy by any means and should not be viewed as such.
