When it comes to trolling fishing you have to be using live bait if you plan to catch more fish. The reasons behind this are simple. Yes, large predator fish will still eat a dead bait fish, but it is more apt to chase a moving, live creature. Not to mention, that the moving and thrashing of the baitfish on your hook when the predator gets in the area, is something that will get you bite after bite, and also something you can’t reproduce on your own.
What I am talking about, is that when you are using an actual live baitfish, and a predator comes in the area, you are going to notice something. The smaller baitfish will begin rushing around, alerting you to something in its presence. This vibration will tell fish there is an easy meal around, and you have the hook!
